A respected national expert, Robin has worked with a variety of Fortune 1000 companies, including Moen, Pella, Lowe's Companies, Newell Rubbermaid, Comcast Cable and Scripps Networks, as well as major advertising agencies such as The Richards Group, Integer, Saatchi & Saatchi, Campbell Mithun, AgencySacks and Carmichael Lynch.
She has supervised innovative, award-winning teams and received numerous national design awards during the course of her 20+ year career in the publishing and high-tech industries.
Robin most recently managed a portfolio of industry-leading clients as a Senior Director and Lead Consumer Strategist at Iconoculture, a global research and consumer advisory company, where she provided qualitative research, cultural-trend analysis, consumer insights and advisory services.
She was an internet pioneer as a Group Manager for Design & User Research at the Microsoft Corporation, where she worked on several high-profile products during her eight-year tenure, including Windows and MSN. She also created and produced V-Style, one of the first online style magazines, which featured design personalities, style trends and cutting-edge home-furnishings products.
A frequent writer for consumer and trade publications, Robin began her media career working for a variety of publications and joined the staff of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Philadelphia Inquirer in 1983, where she worked on features highlighting entertainment, lifestyle and home-design trends, as well as on major national and international news projects. After moving to Seattle she spent five years as the award-winning design director of Pacific Northwest Magazine of The Seattle Times.
Robin was a recipient of the prestigious post-graduate Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellowship at the University of Michigan, granted in recognition of outstanding achievement in the field of journalism. She has served on national and local boards and commissions, including the Knight Curriculum Advisory Committee at the Indiana University School of Communications, where she received a B.A. in journalism and design.
She is an Allied Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Puget Sound Research Forum (PSRF) and the Garden Writers Association (GWA).
